That’s not a legend the Jedi would tell you either. They say he was such a wise Nemoidian that he learned the art of counting Jedi and it caused him much frustration which of course it did.

Except that I had twins the second time around. I wanted to have two kids, but instead I got two more.
When my wife was still pregnant with the twins, we all (including my 2yo son) went the baby doctor for her checkup. I took my son to the bathroom to change his diaper, and he asked about our visit. I said, “Mommy is at the doctor because she has two babies in her tummy.” He looked at me with wide eyes and said, “That’s a lot of babies!” I looked at him and said, “No shit!”

I thought “two will be twice as hard as one, but we can do it!”
Two is about 5x-8x as hard as one. You can’t forget the exponentially newer, larger possibilities for conflict.
I’ve heard the incremental hassle of number 3 tapers off a bit, but you’re still looking at around 10x as hard as one (mainly due to being outnumbered) .
After that, f*ck it — the older ones will help raise the younger ones.
There are SOME economies of scale...health premiums usually don’t increase per child, plus the tax credit keeps going up with each kid. But that’s only a partial offset.
Ever wonder why so many people stop at two?
